I have just completed Joomfish 2.0 compatibility, and the current development version available from download.siliana.com is now working with Joomfish. Meaning you can now have SEF urls on a Joomla 1.5.x multi-lingual site!

As of today, there are still a couple of things you need to know :

• this was done with an svn version of Joomfish, dating from around nov. 7
• using sh404sef and Joomfish requires that you turn off the Language selection module translation caching. This is done using  this Joomfish module backend parameter. I already have a version of sh404sef that will check and turn off caching of the module, and will upload it probably today. This requirement will stay
• at the moment, there is a small glitch in Joomfish, and the caching setting mentioned above is not properly used. Meaning that if you turn it off, caching will still be used in the module, and therefore SEF will not work properly. The only workaround, until that is fixed in Joomfish, is to disable translation caching globally. This is done in Joomfish general parameters, available on Joomfish main control panel. As mentionned, this will not be a requirement in the future, as only disabling translation caching in the language selection module will keep being required

Jip Jonker - Not working for me... 17-11-2008 21:44 Hi! I'm ugrading a site to J1.5 with Joomfish (Version V2.0 (RC)) and I installed com_sh404SEF-15_1.0.14_Beta_build_213.joomla1.5.x.zip. But my site is blank... When I turn of the System - Jfdatabase plugin sh404SEF works just fine. I've turned of caching in the LS module and also caching in the joomfish parameters. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Anonymous 19-11-2008 04:47 Awesome I have been trying to make sh404sef work on my Joomla site for a few weeks. I run Jomres and it will go sef with sh404. I also have Joomfish 2.0RC. It all works . I had tried Artio - but this caused problems with images in Joomfish - it also caused problems for me with sh404sef as despite removing the component it altered the db and until I realised I could not get sh404sef to work. Many people will try both SEF components and it would be useful it this were more widely know. Good work

Anonymous 19-11-2008 07:16 Hi! I have a problem with joomfish working with sh404! When sh404 is activated the mainpage works in every language, but the other pages only work in my main language! All other languages cause an 404 error! But its not the normal style. There is no stylesheet, only the Text of the Menus a.s.o. I compared the links and the sh404 links it with ndex.php?option=com_content&Itemid=36&id=15&lang=en&view=article and normally it is /index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=15&Itemid=36&lang=en is this the problem? and how can i solve it? thanks PS: Sorry for my english

When I go back, uninstalling the component, I remain only using SEO SEF = Yes and Rewrite = YES, everything is fine with SEF-Url's from Joomla Standard (without eaestate of course for which I need your plugin) Somewhere I red an indication that may there is the httpd.conf file to reconfigure, but whee and what. I suppose that all these parameters I tried out (as rewrite base / name or option Symlink ....) after the tutorial I found here comes to work with the xampp standard httpd.conf file.

Günter - ...I tried the same as before 10-05-2009 13:34 with exactly the same problems but only this time, when uninstalling sh404SEF and calling the site I have a parse error : Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homez.139/immobilima/www/plugins/system/jfdatabase/jfdatabase_inherit.php on line 67 Now the site is interrupted, I don't know what to do ?

Günter - already me to update my issue 10-05-2009 20:41 in the sh404SEF_menu where I can edit SEF URL's I saw a db error message. Deleting old SEO tabs in the sql I could use the sh404SEF on apache localhost server but not in modrewrite, only in the mode without htacces. Any ideas how to change that ?
